Friends Support Teesside Airport Night Shoot

A second night photography shoot was held at Teesside Airport on Friday 26th February, with the Friends group offering support to the many photographers who attended.

This event, which was rearranged from November due to bad weather, allowed aviation enthusiasts and photographers the chance to go airside at the airport and take photographs of the various aircraft parked in different areas. With the help of the airport’s fire brigade, who followed the group and shone lights on the aircraft, some excellent results were had.

The group was also treated to some aircraft being started up so that photographs with propellers spinning and lights flashing were possible.

The National Police Force Service also sent in one of their Partenavia P68 aircraft from Doncaster Sheffield especially for the shoot, and the Loganair arrival from London Heathrow paused on the taxiway to allow photographs to be taken.

Members of our group helped usher photographers airside and assisted with the organisers, including the Teesside International Movements site and staff from the airport.

It was a great success, with some amazing photographs, and demonstrates just one of the many and varied ways in which our group assists our local airport.
